Lets list each track out individually and why it's a good song for your Big Fat Indian wedding's parent entrance!

1. Shaam Shaandaar - Shaandaar

Bow down your head and let's all salute this wonderful evening!

Love how the dhol starts in this track and then builds into the light EDM flare. Great for high energy entrances with a tiny bit of build up as the emcee hypes up your crowd!

2. Gallan Goodiyan - Dil Dhadakne Do

The heart says I'll go and get the whole universe, the moon and the stars!

Although I didn't enjoy this movie that much it was quite fun and had a great soundtrack. This song proves it. Your dad will probably feel like king of the castle as Anil is doing so here.

3.Maahi Ve - Kal Ho Naa Ho

That's the way...Maahi Ve!

This song isn't super fast, but it's a chest thumping sort of beat and great for entrances because it's not too fast nor too slow. From a classic evergreen time period in Bollywood about twenty plus years ago.

4. Deewangi - Om Shanti Om

Look this evening is full of madness, slowly it may turn into a story...

A great movie from 2007 had this great song which you may enjoy, all about the glitz and glam that is Bollywood.

5. Mauja Hi Mauja - Jab We Met

The whole world is glowing, not that love is spreading in the air...

This song from 2011 takes place at a wedding and given it's almost ten years old, it won't be played at any other weddings for a while. So if you want something nobody else has heard in recent memory at parents entrance than this is a decent choice!

6. Shava Shava - Khabi Khushi Khabi Gham

Come my love, come my beautiful, let's all dance dance dance!

Another classic number with big Amitabh and Shah Rukh Khan all about getting this party started and let's dance! And yes I know these lyrics sound weird when you translate them but trust me this is an old song that is quite popular and all Indian people know it from the early 2000s and 90s!

7. Rock n Roll Soniya - Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna

She makes me forget my path, she makes everyone go crazy...

A great modern Hindi and little bit of English track that is a classic when it was released years ago. Always a good choice from the evergreen Bollywood generation.

She's very soft and tender, she's a priceless flower.

Get Indian clothes in America tomorrow.

As we mention elsewhere on this site, this movie is about someone moving to America and starting over. Something your parents can relate to right?

9. Disco Disco - A Gentleman

Lets make the floor tremble today, my heart says disco disco all night my dear...

A cool party track to swag yourself into the wedding reception and super awesome parents!

10. Dil Chori - Sonu Ke Titu Sweety

"My heart has been stolen, lost in someone's eyes..."

A popular remake on an old cassic with Yo Yo Honey Sing and gang. Parents and youngsters alike will resonate with this song!

11. Twist Kamariya - Bareilly Ki Barfi

"Oh girl your anklet is jingling, oh girl your bracelet is twinkling..."

A lovely song from a smash hit movie!

12. London Thumakda - Queen

You've gone from one to two, oh girl now what to do...

A classic wedding song the instant it was released. You'll hear this song at least twice during any big Fat Indian wedding and the singing and beat you just can't not dance too!

13. Tamma Tamma Again - Badrinath Ki Dulhania

14. Tune Mare Entriyan - Gunday

"When you have entered..."

A wonderful song for parents to enter in on because the lyrics are super literal and it's fun and everybody will clap and cheer as your parents walk in.

15. Twist - Love Aaj Kal

This twisted world is moving on, and you're moving on too...

As "twisted" as these lyrics sound it's actually quite popular at weddings for parents to enter on this track as well.

16. Sadi Gali - Tanu Weds Manu

The dimples on your fair cheeks are fascinating...

Kangana stole the show in this movie and it's sequel, and it might steal the entrance as a lovely track that is popular for mom and dad to walk into!

Conclusion

Got any suggestions for parent's entrance songs at your Gujarati or Punjabi wedding reception? Do you think parents should have their own entrance?
